Summer 2015:

The Vomit Family recently embarked on an adventure to Astoria, Oregon to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the cult-classic film, The Goonies. Heidi Vomit has a back-piece tattoo celebrating the characters of this film. Several days prior to our adventure, someone on social media asked if anyone attending has any Goonies tattoos. Heidi responded with a pic of her back. The online response was enormous! We thought the attention began and ended with that online conversation. Boy, were we wrong!

We were fortunate enough to meet Jeff Cohen, who played ‘Chunk’. He loved Heidi’s Goonies tattoos so much that he took his own pictures and tweeted them!
In Astoria, Oregon, the Vomit Family experienced some of the best moments of their lives! They took the Goonies pledge and are considered Honorary Goonies for Life! Astoria is such a beautiful town with equally amazing people.

Heidi received all sorts of attention and press! The pictures with Heidi and Jeff Cohen were featured on USA Today’s website and TMZ!

Heidi was interviewed in a local, Astoria paper, Hipfish.

Heidi was continually stopped on the street by people wanting to take her picture.

Congrats to Megan and Casey McCommon!

March 2016: We lost a great friend, Jacob Nash

Jacob has been a close family friend for almost as long as I have been tattooing. We originally met at my shop when it was called, Jolly Roger Tattoo. Jacob set up an appointment for a Coop devil head and then he didn't show up for his first appointment! Obviously, he eventually showed up and through his many tattoo sessions, we bonded. He even lived with Heidi and I for a few years. We have shared many memories, sweat, tears, and laughter. He was a good person, and both Heidi and I feel very fortunate that he allowed us to be part of his life. We think about him often, and miss him very much!
